Soames Steam Wagonette

On May 16th 2016 the Soame Steam Wagonette returned home to Marsham where it was made 120years earlier in 1897 by Samuel George Soame.  It is to be housed alongside the impressive collection of vintage agricultural machinery collected by Bob Parke of Orchard Cottage, Marsham.

You can read all about this splendid vehicle and its maker on Joe Masons blog here and see it (in steam) at the Annual Summer Show of the Starting Handle Club to be held in Marsham on 13th & 14th August 2016.
The wagonette was made in the agricultural engineering workshop, Perseverance Works (only recently demolished) on Old Norwich Road.
